Start Your Journey with Confidence
To study in Canada for more than six months, most international students must apply for a Study Permit, which acts as your official student visa. Canada is known for its high academic standards, welcoming immigration policies, and pathways to permanent residency after graduation. The process is straightforward but requires attention to detail—and that's where UnivWay comes in. We guide you through each step, ensuring your application is complete, accurate, and submitted with confidence.
Canada does not technically issue different types of student visas—the Study Permit is the main document required for international students who plan to study in Canada for more than six months. It authorizes you to stay in the country and pursue full-time education at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
The Study Permit is not a travel document, so depending on your country of citizenship, you may also need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. These are usually issued automatically once your Study Permit is approved.
Your Study Permit includes conditions such as:
-
Maintaining full-time enrollment at a DLI.
-
Making academic progress.
-
Leaving Canada once your permit expires (unless extended or changed).
-
Working part-time if allowed under the terms of your permit.
At UnivWay, we assist you throughout the entire process—from applying to a Canadian school to getting your Study Permit and preparing for travel.
